Products and Dissemination from NTLS 2014
- Make to Learn Strand
- Telling the Story: Mike Spector will take the lead on coordinating the effort to tell the story of NTLS 2013 / 2014. The story will recount the way in which reflection on failure in NTLS 2013 led to develop of scaffolding that produced success in NTLS 2014. This will include both a print publication as well as related video.
- TED Talk: The possibility of a TED Talk focused on the work of students from the Laboratory School for Advanced Manufacturing will be explored as another way to tell the story. Clara Tsao, who has presented a TED Talk, will serve as an advisor for this effort.
- NTLS Editorial: David Slykhuis will take the lead in development of an editorial that will include the teacher educator associations representing STEM: (1) the Association for Science Teacher Education (ASTE), (2) the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE), (3) the Association for Engineering Education (ASEE), and (4) the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE).
- Invention Kit Pilots: Glen Bull will serve as a facilitator for pilots for the Electric Motor Invention Kit that will take place at: (1) the Rockwell School District in Texas (coordinated by Tandra Tyler-Wood), (2) the Harrisonburg School District in Virginia (coordinated by John Lee), (3) a rural school system in Lower Alabama (coordinated by Mike Spector), and (4) an after-school program in Atlanta (coordinated by Steve Harmon, Christine Thomas, and Jake Cohen).
- Informal Learning Strand
- White Paper: John Lee will coordinate an effort to develop a white paper to summarize recommendations emerging from the Informal Learning Strand.
- Augmented Reality: The group also plans to expand their work with augmented reality at next year's summit.
- Personalized Learning Technologies
- White Paper: Mike Searson and Dave Edyburn will coordinate an effort to develop a white paper to summarize recommendations emerging from the Personalized Learning Technologies Strand. JDLTE was suggested as one potential publication outlet for this work.

- NTLS Editors
- Replication Studies: Rhonda Christianson will coordinate development of a white paper on recommendations for replication studies in teacher education.
- Shared Instrument Library: Rhonda will follow up with Gerald Knezek regarding follow-through on the SITE / AECT agreement to develop a shared instrument library.
- AERA Grant: Mike Spector will apply for an AERA conference grant on behalf of NTLS for support for a meeting related to replication studies.
